Transit-Oriented Development Funding Approved
The County Board approved agreements and $1.6 million in funding for six transit-oriented development (TOD) projects, as well as extending contracts for five existing TOD projects.
Economic Stimulus
Police departments in 17 cities in Hennepin County are receiving $5.5 million in crime-fighting grants from the federal economic stimulus program. The grants are part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to fund infrastructure, job training, education, health care, housing and public safety programs.
