Imagine a connected network of transitways — commuter rail lines, light rail transit routes and busways — reaching out across the Twin Cities metropolitan region.

The Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority has been a major force in making LRT a reality in the Twin Cities. HCRRA was a capital investment partner in the Hiawatha LRT Line, the first rail transit line in Minnesota in 50 years. The 12-mile line is completely within Hennepin County.

Today the HCRRA continues to advocate, plan and fund rail corridors which will serve Hennepin County and the greater Twin Cities Metropolitan Area.
