Online Registration

Register for the One-Day DWI program. 

First-time users will need to create an account.

The One-Day DWI program is an alternative sanction for first-time DWI offenders. The program provides a prompt and consistent response to prevent repeat offenses for offenders with a blood alcohol content of .19 or less.

Participants attend programming that combines:

  • Alcohol education
  • Cognitive therapy
  • Self-assessment
  • Victim impact panel

Some clients may be referred to perform community service on the Sentencing to Service program in addition to completing the One-Day DWI program.

Schedule and locations

The program is held most Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a quarterly session presented in Spanish.

Locations rotate through these locations:

  • Government Center Jury Room, 300 South 6th St. Minneapolis — Map It!
  • Earle Brown Heritage Center (Tack Room), 6155 Earle Brown Dr., Brooklyn Center — Map It!
  • Crowne Plaza, 3 Appletree Square, Bloomington — Map It!
  • Eisenhower Community Center, 1001 Highway 7, Hopkins — Map It!

Registration

  • Online — First-time users will need to create an account. Please be sure to save your registration information (e.g., login name, password, etc.).
    • If you have problems with the registration website, call 612-543-0471.
  • Phone — Please call 612-543-0471 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday to schedule your appointment.

Fees and payment

The One-Day DWI fee is $375 ($250 for public defender clients).

  • Payment must be made at least one day in advance of the program.
  • Check or money order only, made payable to Hennepin County One-Day DWI Program. Credit cards and debit cards are not accepted.
    • Include your case number on your payment.
    • Include your Social Security number on your payment.

Paying in-person
Payments are accepted in person until one day prior to your scheduled program at the probation office located near the courts where sentencing occurs. Locations include:
