American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Results in Hennepin County

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Results in Hennepin County examines results achieved with Recovery Act funding in Hennepin County using data reported by county recipients and by summarizing findings from a series of interviews with Recovery Act project managers. The report includes the number of awards, projects and local award amounts through fourth quarter 2011 for projects subject to reporting requirements in Hennepin County, along with jobs and employment effects, and project highlights from a sample of Recovery-funded projects in the county.  As enacted in February 2009, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) allocated $787 billion for distribution as tax benefits, entitlement payments, and as contracts, grants and loans for projects meant to preserve and create jobs, promote economic recovery and provide a foundation for future economic activity.
