Hennepin County has a variety of resources and services available for people experiencing homelessness, through both county and community providers. Please see below to find services that may apply to you.
Hennepin County families in need of emergency shelter should apply between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the 1st floor of Century Plaza, 330 S. 12th St, Minneapolis, MN.
After 5:00 pm, and on weekends and holidays, call 211 to be referred to the after hours shelter team.

If you are escaping a violent relationship and are in need of shelter, please call Day One at 1-866-223-1111.
Day One is a central phone line that will connect you with all available domestic violence shelters in the state, starting with the one nearest to you. Their trained advocates will assist you in accessing these shelters. Please call 1-866-223-1111.
If you are under the age of 21, a youth shelter may be available for you. There are several youth shelters in Minneapolis—please see below to find the one best suited for you.
If you are a parenting teen, you should follow the instructions for Family Shelter at the top of the page. The youth shelters cannot accommodate families.

The single adult contracted shelters are Salvation Army Harbor Lights and Catholic Charities. Homeless Single Adults can also call the Shelter Team at 612-348-3007
Three private shelters (St. Stephen's, Our Saviour's, and Simpson Shelters) hold a combined weekly lottery every Monday night at Simpson Shelter:
