Childhood immunizations protect kids from serious diseases like measles, mumps, pertussis, and diphtheria.

Many children, teens, and young adults have fallen behind on immunizations. Now is a good time to get caught up for school, sports, daycare, and more.

Hennepin County has programs that can help your child get immunized, even if you’re uninsured, underinsured, or don’t have a primary care clinic.

Measles

Measles cases have been increasing in Minnesota, nationally and internationally. Measles is a serious disease that spreads easily and can lead to hospitalization and death.

The best way to prevent measles is to get the MMR vaccine. The vaccine is safe, effective, and widely available.

Bloomington Public Health

Bloomington Public Health offers immunizations to individuals who are uninsured or underinsured through the Minnesota Vaccines for Children (MNVFC) program and the Uninsured and Underinsured Adult Vaccines (UUAV) program. Immunizations are available the first and third Tuesday of the month from 12:30 - 4 p.m. by appointment. Please call 952-563-8900 to schedule with an intake nurse. There is a $20 donation requested per vaccination, however, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
