Give away, donate or sell

If your lamp or light fixture is in good, working condition, give it away, sell it or donate to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Arc’s Value Village or Bridging (floor and table lamps only).

Repair

If your lamp or light fixture is broken, take it to a repair shop or Fix-It Clinic.

Other disposal options

Recycle

The metal parts of light fixtures may be accepted by a scrap metal recycler for redemption.

Materials preparation

Remove all non-metal parts, bulbs, and ballasts first. Non-metal parts may be put in the garbage. See disposal options and guidelines for ballastsfluorescent light bulbs, and LED lightbulbs.
