Recommended disposal options

Yard sign recycling drop off: November 12-26, 2024

Check with the campaign to see if they are collecting for reuse. If your yard sign can’t be reused, drop it off for recycling at four locations November 12-26, 2024.

The signs will be brought to Choice Plastics, where they will be turned into pellets and then recycled into new material.

Bloomington

South Hennepin Recycling and Problem Waste Drop-Off Center

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, is required.

Brooklyn Park

Hennepin County Recycling Center and Transfer Station

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Minneapolis

Minneapolis North Transfer Station

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Collection container will be outside of the gate

Minnetonka/Hopkins

Minnetonka/Hopkins Recycling Center

Drop off guidelines

Accepted:
Corrugated plastic
(coroplast) signs

Not accepted:

Paper, mailers, posters
Banners
Wooden stakes

Preparation:
Make sure signs are clean and dry
Remove any stakes or posts
Metal stakes can be recycled separately at various scrap metal recyclers
