Asset management
Transportation asset management is a process of evaluating, maintaining, and improving the physical assets in our county road and bridge network in a cost-effective manner throughout their life cycles.
Assets include roadway pavement, bridges, signs and signals for traffic, culverts, curbs and catch basins for drainage, and guardrails, retaining walls, medians and pedestrian ramps along our roadways.
Stable investments in asset management and maintenance continue to deliver stable asset conditions including targeted improvements for preservation, safety, modernization and efficiency in our network.
The more we do in the short term to make strategic, proactive, well-timed investments in our transportation assets, the more cost effective it will be to maintain our network over the long term.
