McGinty Road closed between Locust Hills Drive and the 494 southbound ramps in Minnetonka.

Detour: Use Highway 101 and Minnetonka Boulevard. Through traffic should follow the posted detours using Highway 101 and Minnetonka Boulevard. View detour map

Local resident and business access will be maintained.

Project background

When the project is complete, people will notice smoother road and safety improvements for people who walk, bike, and roll. Improvements include:

New pavement on McGinty Road
Dedicated left turn lanes to replace bypass lanes
Concrete center median at Oak Lea Drive for safer pedestrian crossing
Improved access to trails

Work is expected in May through July. All dates are subject to change.
